PARMA, Ohio. Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Cathedral issued a salary check to Fr. Dragoslav Kosić on April 8, 2026, and mailed it to him by United States Postal Service certified mail. The Postal Service returned the mailing to the cathedral unclaimed, according to cathedral records reviewed by Orthodox Integrity.
The check was drawn on the cathedral's account and made payable to Fr. Dragoslav. It was placed in the certified mail on April 13 at the Briggs Branch station in Cleveland, addressed to him at 6306 Broadview Road, the cathedral's own address and the parish from which he had been canonically transferred, effective October 31, 2025.

The mailpiece was later returned to the cathedral. The Postal Service marked it "Unclaimed" and applied a label reading "Return to Sender, Not Deliverable As Addressed, Unable to Forward." The returned envelope also bears a hand-circled "Dead Letter" notation. The documents do not establish that the payment was received or negotiated.

Fr. Dragoslav's canonical transfer from Saint Sava Cathedral took effect on October 31, 2025. The cathedral continued to issue salary payments to him in the months after the transfer.
At the cathedral, the practical record remains what it has been. Divine Liturgy is celebrated each Sunday, and the Temporary Board of Trustees continues to administer the parish under the Diocesan Rulebook. The parish registers, the household register, the ecclesiastical books, and the seal of the cathedral remain outside the cathedral's possession more than four months after Episcopal Acts formally requested their return.
Update: August 3, 2026
Counsel for the cathedral offered the payment the cathedral had issued in April to Fr. Dragoslav Kosić in person at the courthouse on August 3, 2026, before the day's hearing was called. He declined it. The offer and the refusal took place in the courtroom, apart from the proceedings conducted on the record, according to a member of the Temporary Board of Trustees who was present.
The payment offered was the one documented above: a check for $6,799.80, issued on April 8, mailed by certified mail on April 13, and returned to the cathedral unclaimed.
On August 3 it was offered to him directly, and he refused it.
